Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are The Other Guys, the cops who remain unscathed, pushing paper instead of criminals. One day, they get their chance to prove themselves as tough cops. Ferrell is hilarious as Wahlberg plays the straight guy. The straight guy is the one who stands there and reacts to this idiot crazed character, which gets all the laughs. It looks like it’s time again, time for another Will Ferrell masterpiece. When paired with Mark Wahlberg I’m expecting something on par with his SNL performance. The smell of High School Musical is gone for me. I feel he’s finally that he can’t be that person if he wants a long career. Good for him. The Charlie St. Cloud movie looks better then most chick flicks. The way the other trailer for this was cut and quite different. It sort of made out that the younger brother’s ghost was bit peeved at Efron for liking the girl. Charlie St. Cloud might be the real test for Efron career in this movie where Efron character has to choose between the hot girl and life of a sailor and literally spending time with the ghost of his dead brother on the other. I actually prefer the other trailer on this one, as this just feels like they’re overselling the intimate moments and telling pretty much the whole story in the trailer. This is a doable film. It reminds me of a movie from the 80’s. I think Efron will escape the High School Musical stuff I suppose he already has.
